Ultimately, Calum exists in the imaginary space created by Sophies memories of her father. Sophie befriends another guest at a resort, a young boy who seems to have a romantic interest in her. At the pool party, Sophie pushes her father away, while Calum fails to hold on to his daughters adult version in the rave.
